⚠️ Before You Read Further — Critical Warning

Income Certificates and Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificates must be valid for the current financial year.
If you cannot produce valid originals at the time of reporting, your reserved category seat is automatically forfeited and your candidature moves to the General (OPEN) category. No exceptions.

✅ Important Instructions for Every Student

Before getting into the category-wise breakdown, follow these ground rules on reporting day:

1. Carry Originals + 3–4 Xerox Sets
Always bring all original documents AND at least 3 to 4 sets of clear, self-attested photocopies.

2. Keep 8–10 Passport Size Photos Ready
Use the same photograph you uploaded during MHT-CET registration. Colour photos only.

3. Arrange Documents Sequentially
Follow the order in the checklist below. It speeds up verification at the counter significantly.

4. Category Certificates Must Be Maharashtra-Issued
Caste Certificate, Caste Validity, NCL, and EWS certificates must be issued by competent Maharashtra State authorities as per DTE/CET Cell guidelines.

5. Maintain a Digital Backup
Scan all originals and store them on Google Drive or DigiLocker before your reporting date.

6. Pre-Check Validity Dates
NCL and Income Certificates expire. Verify their validity before you leave home.

🔍 Category-Wise Quick Summary

OPEN Category

Carry all standard academic and identity documents. No caste-related certificates needed. Keep an Income Certificate handy — it's optional but sometimes asked.

OBC / NT / VJ / SBC / SEBC

All standard documents plus Caste Certificate, Caste Validity Certificate, and Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) Certificate. NCL must be valid for the current financial year — this is the single most common rejection reason.

SC / ST

Caste Certificate and Caste/Tribe Validity Certificate are mandatory. NCL is not required for SC/ST candidates.

EWS (Economically Weaker Section)

EWS Certificate is the key document. Income Certificate is also mandatory. Both must be current and valid.

TFWS (Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme)

Standard documents apply. Income Certificate is required. No caste certificate needed.

Minority (MIN)

Minority Certificate from a recognised authority is required in addition to the standard document set.

OMS (Outside Maharashtra State)

JEE Main Score Card is mandatory (not just optional). Migration Certificate is compulsory. MHT-CET Score Card, Domicile Certificate, CAP-related documents, and Seat Acceptance Letter are not required for OMS candidates.

💡 Pro Tips to Avoid Last-Minute Panic

• Laminate nothing. Laminated originals are often rejected at reporting counters.
• Self-attest every photocopy — sign across each copy with the date.
• Check NCL issue date. It must be issued in the current financial year (April 2025 onwards for 2026 admissions).
• Print your Anti-Ragging Undertaking from the official DTE Maharashtra portal before reporting day.
• Carry a folder with labelled sections — one tab per document type.
