MHT CET 2026 Scrutiny Centers (Facilitation Centers) – District-Wise FC List, Documents & Complete Verification Guide
✅ Document Verification Started: 3 July 2026 ⏰ Last Date: 13 July 2026 at 5:00 PM — no extensions 🔗 Official CAP Portal: fe2026.mahacet.org 📌 Registration Last Date: 12 July 2026 at 5:00 PM
What is a Scrutiny Center (Facilitation Center)?
A Scrutiny Center — officially called a Facilitation Center (FC) — is a college appointed by the Maharashtra State CET Cell to physically verify candidates' documents during the MHT CET CAP (Centralised Admission Process) 2026.
At the FC, an authorised officer:
- Physically checks your original documents against your online application
- Confirms your eligibility, category, and domicile status
- Issues a Receipt-cum-Acknowledgement as proof of completed verification
⚠️ This step is NOT optional. Without confirmed verification — either E-Scrutiny or Physical Scrutiny — your application is rejected. Your name will NOT appear in the CAP merit list and you will NOT get a seat in any CAP round.
E-Scrutiny vs Physical Scrutiny — Which One Did You Choose?
During CAP registration, you selected one of two verification modes. Here is what each means:
| Feature | E-Scrutiny | Physical Scrutiny |
|---|---|---|
| Need to visit FC? | ❌ No | ✅ Yes — mandatory |
| Documents submitted | Uploaded online via portal | Originals shown at FC |
| Verification done by | CET Cell online team | FC officer in person |
| Receipt issued | Online / portal | Physical receipt at FC |
| Deadline | 13 July 2026, 5 PM | 13 July 2026, 5 PM |
| Recommended for | Students far from FC | Students near FC |
💡 If you selected E-Scrutiny — you do NOT need to visit any Facilitation Center. Your documents will be verified online through the portal. Make sure all uploads are clear and complete before July 13, 5 PM.
How to Find Your Facilitation Center
You selected your FC during CAP registration on fe2026.mahacet.org. Follow these steps to find out which center you chose:
- Login to your candidate account on fe2026.mahacet.org
- Open your Application Form / Acknowledgement
- Your selected Facilitation Center name and full address is printed on it
- Visit that FC within working hours before 13 July, 5 PM
⚠️ Do NOT visit a random Facilitation Center. Verification happens ONLY at the FC you selected during form filling. If you visit the wrong center, your verification will not be processed.

You will lose your reservation benefit for ALL CAP rounds. Check the status of pending certificates NOW — not on July 12.
What Happens at the FC — Step by Step
Step 1 — Reach the FC early FC working hours are typically 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Queues get very long near the deadline (July 11–13). Plan your visit between July 3–8 for the smoothest experience.
Step 2 — Submit your documents Hand over your application printout, all originals, and photocopies to the verification officer at the FC counter.
Step 3 — Officer checks documents The FC officer cross-checks every document against your online application — name, date of birth, category, domicile, marksheets, and certificates.
Step 4 — Discrepancy handling If there is an error or mismatch → you will be told to correct or re-upload on the portal and return to the FC. This is why you should NOT visit on July 12 or 13 — there will be no time to fix errors.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
1. Visiting the wrong Facilitation Center Verification is processed ONLY at your chosen FC. Going elsewhere wastes your time and your verification stays incomplete.
2. Missing documents at the FC If even one important document is missing, you will need to make a second trip. With July 13 approaching, you may not have time.
3. Not carrying originals Photocopies alone are not accepted. Original documents are mandatory for physical scrutiny.
4. Reserved category students not carrying validity certificate A caste certificate without a validity certificate is incomplete. You will be treated as Open category.
5. Waiting till July 12 or 13 Server issues, FC crowd, last-minute document problems — all of these are worst near the deadline. Visit by July 8.
6. E-Scrutiny students not uploading documents If you chose E-Scrutiny, make sure all documents are uploaded clearly on the portal before July 13, 5 PM. Blurry or incomplete uploads get rejected.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can I change my Facilitation Center after registration? A. Generally no. If you selected the wrong district, contact the CET Cell helpline immediately on cetcell.mahacet.org.
Q. I selected E-Scrutiny. Do I still need to visit an FC? A. No. E-Scrutiny is fully online. Just ensure all your documents are properly uploaded on the portal before July 13, 5 PM.
Q. What if I miss the July 13 deadline? A. Your application will not be confirmed. You will not appear in the merit list and cannot participate in any CAP round. There is no extension for individuals.
Q. Is there a fee at the Facilitation Center? A. No verification fee is charged at the FC. Any applicable CAP registration fees are paid online through the portal.
Q. I don't have my caste validity certificate yet. What do I do? A. Apply for it immediately through your district's Social Welfare Office. If it's not ready by July 13, attend verification as Open category and pay the fee difference. Your reserved category benefit will not apply for this year.
Q. What is the Receipt-cum-Acknowledgement? A. It is the official document issued by the FC after successful verification. It is your proof that document verification is complete. Keep it safely — you may need it during actual admission.
Q. My Class 12 board is outside Maharashtra. What extra documents do I need? A. Carry your Migration Certificate along with standard documents. Out-of-state students compete under the All India quota (15% seats in government colleges).
