What is FC Slot Booking?

When you choose Physical Scrutiny as your document verification mode during MHT CET CAP 2026 registration, you are required to book a specific date and time slot at your chosen Facilitation Center (FC).

This slot booking:

• Confirms your visit appointment at the FC
• Reduces waiting time at the center
• Ensures the FC is not overcrowded on any single day
• Gives you a confirmation receipt to carry on your visit day

💡 If you selected E-Scrutiny — slot booking does NOT apply to you. Your verification happens online through the portal. This guide is only for Physical Scrutiny candidates.

Step-by-Step: How to Book Your FC Slot

Step 1 — Login to the CAP Portal

• Visit fe2026.mahacet.org
• Click on Candidate Login
• Enter your registered Email ID and Password
• You will land on your candidate dashboard

Step 2 — Go to Registration Form

• On your dashboard, click on CAP Registration Form (if you have not submitted it yet) OR
• If registration is already submitted, look for "Document Verification / Slot Booking" section in your candidate activity panel

Step 3 — Select Your District and Facilitation Center

• A dropdown will show all Facilitation Centers available in your district
• Select the FC closest to your location
• Only FCs with available slots will appear — if your preferred FC is full, choose the next nearest one

What to Do If You Miss Your Slot

Scenario 1 — You missed your slot but verification window is still open (before July 13, 5 PM)

Contact the CET Cell helpline immediately:

In many cases, walk-in is permitted at the FC at the discretion of the FC in-charge — especially during the first week when slots are less crowded. Call the FC directly and confirm before walking in without a slot.

Scenario 2 — You missed your slot and it is July 13

Visit the FC as early as possible — by 9:30 AM if you can. Explain the situation to the FC officer. Many FCs accommodate walk-ins on the last day given the rush. There is no official guarantee but it is your only option.

Scenario 3 — You missed the entire July 13 deadline

Unfortunately there is no extension. Your application will not be verified, your name will not appear in the merit list, and you cannot participate in any CAP round this year. This situation has no remedy — which is why booking early (July 3–7) is critical.

⚠️ Do not rely on walk-in as your plan. It is a last resort, not a guaranteed option.

Common Slot Booking Mistakes to Avoid

1. Selecting the last available date (July 13) If documents are rejected or an error is found, you have zero time to fix it. Always leave a buffer of at least 2–3 days before the deadline.

2. Choosing an FC in the wrong district You must visit the FC you booked — not any FC. If you book a Mumbai FC but live in Pune, you must travel to Mumbai for verification.

3. Not downloading the confirmation receipt The portal is under heavy load. If you close the tab without downloading, you may not be able to retrieve the receipt easily. Always download immediately.

4. Booking late afternoon slots The 4:00–5:30 PM slot sounds convenient but FC queues build up in the afternoon. You risk reaching the counter after 5:30 PM cutoff, especially on busy days near the deadline.

5. Going to the FC without the slot receipt FC officers match your receipt to their system. Without it, they may turn you away or make you wait until walk-in space opens up.
